I choose this picture because of how horrible the subject matter is but also how real it is. It simply shows the devastation that the Japanese invasion of china brought on one child.

The horror of the Japanese invasions from 1937 - 1945 is heavily overlooked by most people. They killed over 20 million Chinese people, mostly civilians in the effort to conquer china. They were eventually halted in there invasion and defeated by the US.
